Arnold Bautz, 99, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, in Sun City. He was born March 31, 1906, in Hazzard, a son of the late Anton and Eugenia Singer Bautz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Bautz; six brothers, Albert, Henry, Raymond, William, Joseph and George; and five sisters, Jennie, Emma, Mary, Rose and Catherine. Mr. Bautz was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a metallurgist for U.S. Steel and retired to Arizona in the late 1970's. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Services were private.
