Albert J. Bautz II, 86 of Hurlock MD, passed on Friday January 24, 2020 on the Eastern Shore of MD. Born February 11, 1933 in Monongahela, PA, son of the late Albert J. and Margaret (Abbott) Bautz. Beloved husband of 42 years to Susan (Jacobson) Bautz. Father of Jennifer (Mackenzie) Astin of Baltimore, MD, Allison (Jeff) Zerr of Frederick MD, and Rennie (Dona) Grant of Baltimore, MD. Grandfather of Katie and Michael Zerr, Brother of Anna (the late Al) Olson of Castle Shannon, PA and the late Martha, Elizabeth and Margaret Bautz. Uncle of Amy (Don) Osko of Washington, PA, Albert J. “AJ” Bautz III of Pittsburgh and William A. Bautz of New Eagle. Al attended St. Vincent College Prep School, Graduated from Duquesne University and served in the US Army. Went to Baltimore MD in the 60’s working for the Baltimore Sun and formed his own counseling firm AJ & Associates (Later PRIME). He retired to the eastern shore of Maryland in 2000 and enjoyed boating and tending to his horses on his Sudbrook farm in Hurlock MD. A man of great faith and intelligence, he will be missed by many! A memorial visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 PM at Len Zeller Funeral Home, 106 N. Main St., East New Market, MD 21631. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church in Secretary, MD.  Inurnment will follow at Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery in Secretary MD.
