Margaret G. Bautz

Margaret G. Bautz, 86, of New Eagle, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at home. She was born April 13, 1930, in Ellsworth, daughter of the late Albert J. Sr. and Margaret Abbott Bautz; sister of Albert J. (Susan) Bautz of Hurlock, Md., and Anna (the late Al Olson) Bautz, and the late Martha A. and Elizabeth T. Bautz; aunt of Amy (Don) Osko of Washington, AJ Bautz of Pittsburgh, William A. Bautz of New Eagle, Jennifer (Mackenzie) Astin of Baltimore, Md.; Rennie (Dona) Grant of Baltimore, Md., and Allison (Jeff) Zerr of Union Bridge, Md.; and great aunt of Katie and Michael Zerr. Margaret was a 1948 graduate of Monongahela High School, where she was valedictorian. She began her lifelong career at Prudential in 1949, working in various capacities and was office manager for various offices before retiring in 1997. She enjoyed her family and pets and would help anyone in need. Visitation at WILLIAM A. BAUTZ FUNERAL HOME, 139 Main St., New Eagle, (724-258-8190) 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, where prayers of transfer will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Friday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Damian of Molokai Church, Monongahela. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery Monongahela. Family requests memorial contributions be made to an animal charity of your choice in her memory in lieu of flowers.
